Republican lawmakers have recently called out the exploitation of President Biden’s border policies by terrorists, sex offenders, and cartel associates at the southern border, noting the dangers it places on American communities.

Some have highlighted the significant increase in apprehensions of terrorist watch list members and special-interest aliens at the southern border, emphasizing a potentially substantial threat to national security.

“In the past two years, Border Patrol encountered 6,386 Afghans, 659 Iranians and 538 Syrians all trying to enter the country illegally,” one report noted. (Trending: GOP Rep. Mace Clashes Directly With Hunter Biden At Hearing)

“It also apprehended more than 24,000 Chinese nationals in fiscal year 2023 alone — more than it caught in the last 10 years combined,” the report added.

Many have expressed concern over the administration’s failure to address such issues and have called for legislative action to secure the border.

Recent efforts to fight the crisis include the introduction of the NARCOS Act, which aims to combat the work of Mexican drug cartels.
