A recent poll shows that nearly two-thirds of Americans believe former President Donald Trump should not be immune from prosecution for actions he took while in office.
The survey revealed a partisan divide, with 69% of Republicans and 14% of Democrats supporting immunity.

Trump’s legal team argues for immunity, but judges have expressed skepticism.
Judge Florence Pan asked Trump’s attorney, D. John Sauer, “Could a president who ordered SEAL Team 6 to assassinate a political rival, who was not impeached, would he be subject to criminal prosecution?”
Sauer responded that the hypothetical president would need to be impeached and convicted, first.
Trump will have the opportunity to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court once the court makes a ruling.
Trump said after the hearing, “I think it’s very unfair when a opponent, a political opponent is prosecuted by the DOJ, by Biden’s DOJ.“
“I think they feel this is the way they’re going to try and win,” added.
