An 18-inch pipe bomb was discovered in Philadelphia near a set of train tracks.
It was discovered behind St. Dominic’s Catholic Church on Frankford Avenue. The Philadelphia Bomb Squad closed down the area.
A passerby notified police, which led to the discovery.

There is speculation about whether a pipe bomb could have caused the recent train derailment in Ohio.
The PVC pipe appeared to have black power on it.

The investigation is ongoing as there is no official consensus regarding the pipe bomb.

On the website Catholic Culture, it was noted that in the past three years, there have been almost 250 acts of violence at Catholic sites in America.
The Daily Wire noted that the pipe bomb’s finding came one day after David O’Connell, an auxiliary bishop of the Los Angeles Archdiocese, was shot to death.
