A couple from Loudon County, Virginia, was taken into custody by the FBI in the early hours of Thursday for their alleged involvement in the events at the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

Thomas Kasperek and Dr. Daphne Kasperek shared in a recent interview that FBI agents arrived at their residence at approximately 6:00 a.m., arriving in vehicles with flashing lights.

The agents forcefully knocked on their door and demanded that they exit the premises with their hands raised.

Deep slumber

Thomas explained that while he was awake, his wife Daphne was still in deep slumber. He carefully roused her from her sleep and instructed her to contact their friend Richard Ryan.

Richard had been a co-plaintiff in a legal case they initiated in November 2022 concerning election integrity issues. The case targeted Loudoun County’s Electoral Board and Board of Supervisors, citing worries about the origin of the electric voting machines from China. Unfortunately, the case was reportedly dismissed on January 6, 2023, as per LoudonNow.com.

“They opened the door and stuck an M-4 in my face. They were in full gear,” he said. “About six guys at the door with their guns drawn.”

Warrant

He mentioned requesting to see a warrant, but the FBI agents informed him that they would present it to him later at their destination downtown.

He described how they restrained him by placing handcuffs on his wrists and ankle cuffs with chains before escorting him down his driveway and along the street. The same procedure was also carried out on Daphne by the FBI agents.

“Never, ever had anything like this happened,” she said.

Subsequently, they were transported to the FBI field office downtown where they underwent fingerprinting, DNA swabbing, and photography before being subjected to interrogation, as per their account.

Thomas noted that it was evident the FBI had been compiling evidence against them regarding their entry into the Capitol building three years prior.

Following this, they were transferred to the federal courthouse and placed in the custody of U.S. marshals, who proceeded to conduct separate rounds of questioning with each of them, according to Thomas.

According to Thomas, they were accused of four misdemeanors, including unlawfully entering and staying in a restricted area, engaging in disorderly behavior within restricted premises, causing disruption within the Capitol building, and participating in a demonstration or picketing within any Capitol building.

Thomas mentioned that they were within the Capitol building for a duration of 12 minutes.

Former Deputy Assistant to the President, Sebastian Gorka, responded, “This is a Gestapo. The political police have arrived in America. Thomas and Daphne Kasperek are the proof.”
