Gen. Flynn: ‘The Magnitude of This Victory Cannot Be Underestimated’

In an exclusive op-ed written published at Western Journal, General Michael Flynn says that he visited the U.S. southern border and personally witnessed what Joe Biden is preparing.

“Resist we must, resist we will,” Gen. Flynn writes.

Gen. Flynn argues that Biden is preparing “mass invasion” and says immigration is “already out-of-control.”

“Immigration is already out-of-control, with 400,000 ‘getaways’ in FY2021 and about 300,000 ‘getaways’ already during the first half of FY2022,” Gen. Flynn explains.

However, Biden is currently losing in the courts and failed to reverse President Donald Trump Title 42 policy established in March 2020. This gave border officers additional power to reject immigrants for COVID-19-related public health reasons.

“The magnitude of the victory cannot be underestimated,” Gen. Flynn writes, but says this only postpones the “day of reckoning.”

“The day on which when this mass invasion will begin has been stopped for now — for which we should all be thankful — but the day of reckoning has only been postponed,” Gen. Flynn continued. “Over the weekend, I visited the border town Eagle Pass, Texas, and I saw firsthand that the Biden administration is making preparations for a significant upswing in the number of illegals crossing the border.”

“While the Biden Justice Department may appeal that loss to the Fifth Circuit, the magnitude of the victory cannot be underestimated. Judge Robert R. Summerhays’s ruling demonstrated that 25,000 migrants are now waiting in Mexican shelters just south of the border for Title 42 to end. Further, intelligence indicates the number of illegals in northern Mexico waiting to cross illegally into the United States to be between 30,000 and 60,000.”

The immigration system has been fundamentally broken under Joe Biden. Under Trump, Americans saw the lowest rate of illegal immigration in over 40 years.

Under Biden, we have seen the highest rate of illegal immigration over 60 years.

In just three days, border patrol has caught 131 lbs. of fentanyl, 26 lbs. of heroin, 13 lbs. of meth, 10 sex offenders, 3 gang members, 1 assassination suspect, 1 fugitive wanted for murder, and 3 agents assaulted. Border patrol also stopped 18 large groups, totaling 2,446 migrants.

Biden ended Trump’s “remain in Mexico” policy, which forced foreign nationals seeking to enter the U.S. through the southern border — illegally or without proper documentation — to be returned to Mexico. These individuals needed to wait in Mexico while their legal cases are adjudicated.

Biden, on the other hand, opened the flood gates and created a disaster. By removing this policy, it signaled that everyone can come through the border even if it’s illegally and without proper documentation. This border security program under Trump and kept migrants in Mexico as they awaited their hearings.

Biden and the Democrats falsely claimed President Trump was “racist” and “xenophobic” for his “remain in Mexico.” This was part of Trump’s effort to secure the U.S. southern border and stop the flood of illegal immigration. Trump’s key policy was called the Migrant Protection Protocols. It required migrant asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their U.S. court hearings.

Under Trump, an estimated 68,000 migrants were returned to Mexico under the policy, according to the Department of Homeland Security. These individuals will need to wait in Mexico while their legal cases are adjudicated. This only impacted those attempting to enter illegally or without proper documentation.

Biden, on the other hand, allows migrant asylum seekers into the U.S. prior to court hearings, which many Republicans have opposed. The Democrat’s strategy of allowing migrants into the U.S. gives them the opportunity to disappear before their court hearings. As a result, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki recently confirmed that some illegal immigrants have received free cell phones so that they can be contacted and “checked on” in hopes that they don’t disappear within the U.S. before their court hearing.
