Americans remained trapped in Afghanistan under Taliban rule.

Joe Biden reportedly abandoned between 100 and 200 Americans as the final U.S. soldier left.

According to a disturbing CNN report, an American woman trapped in Afghanistan told the network that she has intense fear for her life.

The woman, who is only identified as “Sara” to hide her identity, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo that she does not know what to believe anymore because those who were supposed to be helping her get out of the country the last couple of weeks have “been fooling me, for past 10 days, back and forth, back and forth, stories after stories.”

Sara worked for the U.S. military as an interpreter for 14 years.

She says that she has been left behind in a country run by people who she says want “to kill us.”

The Taliban is notorious for targeting and killing anyone who helped Western forces.

Cuomo asked about what her biggest fear at the moment.

Sara responded, “Am I safe? Now the question is my life. Am I safe? Are these people are safe?”

Sara referred to 37 other people, including numerous children, who she is stuck with.

She continued, “I don’t even think they are safe because they will be – they’re in my house, because now they are more targets than ever before because they are living in my house. And I’m an American. I’m a former interpreter. I worked for 14 years. And what is next for us?”

“We just smell the death. I’m afraid to let them go out, or myself to go out,” she continued.

“There is 37 of them in my house right now. And what is next move for me? I have no idea. But I never felt like this. I went to so many different missions with military, so many different missions, in different provinces. I never had that heartbeat, like I have it today, this morning, when they told me the American left.”

Sara said, “They left us to whom? To those people, who they were always wanting to kill us? And now, I’m by myself here, with 37 people. This is my fear that if American could not help me, when they were on the ground, how will they help me now, when there no one is here? That’s my question.”

“It’s clear the Taliban is now in charge,” reported CNN’s Clarissa Ward on the ground in Kabul, Afghanistan.

“Taliban fighters have flooded the capital. Smiling and victorious,” CNN’s Ward said. “They took this city of 6 million people in a matter of hours — barely firing a shot.”

As explained by U.S. Army special forces master sergeant Tim Kennedy, the Taliban are “brutes.

“They’re gangsters. They burn people alive,” Kennedy says. “They hang them from trees. They throw gays off the rooftops.”

“They throw acid on little girls trying to walk to school,” Kennedy continued. “They are a radical extremist organization that is violent.”

“There’s not an element that I have seen, personally in 20 years, that is a characteristic that I can embrace as an American,” Kennedy concluded.

It has been reported that Taliban militants have kicked a pregnant American in the stomach as she tried to evacuate Kabul, Afghanistan.

The woman was traveling with her husband and father. They remain trapped there and in hiding, Fox News reported.

Republican U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa of California spoke to Fox News about the issue, explaining that she never made it aboard and aircraft due to the danger. She’s been identified as “Nasria.” You can see more about her story here.

In another instance, a three-year-old American boy is also stranded. The young boy was born near Sacramento and he has a U.S. passport showing he’s a U.S. citizen.

His identity is hidden out of fear of being captured by the Taliban. ABC News is also hiding the identity of the boy’s father and other family members. They are all permanent U.S. residents.

To make matters even worse, the family has been physically beaten by the Taliban at one of their “checkpoints.” You can read more about their story here.
