Meghan McCain appeared on NBC’s “Meet and Press” and her mere presence immediately triggered liberals.
McCain left her role as a host on “The View” last month.
She left the New York-based program to settle down with her family in Washington, D.C. McCain is currently a columnist for the Daily Mail.
Former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien scolded “Meet the Press” for having McCain on the program.
O’Brien said, “This young lady is not her father (though she likes to name him frequently).”
“She lies on camera, she has zero value as a guest, certainly she’s go no credibility as a political talking head,” O’Brien added.
“And yet, Meet the Press fails by allowing her to lie on their air,” O’Brien said.
Harvard Law School professor Laurence Tribe also reacted negatively to McCain’s presence on the show.
Tribe said O’Brien “tells it like it is.”
“Meet The Press has lousy standards,” Tribe wrote to Twitter.
Author James Surowiecki said, “I know Meet the Press isn’t hallowed ground, but what has Meghan McCain ever done to deserve a spot on a panel talking about the politics of Biden’s infrastructure plan?”
Take a look at some of the response:

Because it's @MeetThePress and that's who they are now. I cannot believe there was a time I watched that show every week. Meghan is at least a younger–but still bitter!!–version of Hugh Hewitt and @Peggynoonannyc.

1. It’s not $5 trillion
2. It polls extremely well (55-70%) and has for months across every public survey we’ve seen
3. @MeetThePress not only let these lies go unchallenged – they CHOSE TO PROMOTE THEM in a tweet https://t.co/tgxcpl5OcB

The Build Back Better agenda has polled extremely well and it’s deeply affordable at the federal level, using both debt and taxes to raise revenue. This rant is unsupported nonsense. https://t.co/W7gBAw8QzZ

1. You invited someone with no life experience or accomplishments outside the entertainment industry to talk politics.
2. She told a series of demonstrable lies.
3. You have now amplified those lies on Twitter, w/out comment or editing.Everyone involved should be embarrassed. https://t.co/s49oHnLQU8

Amazing. The official “Meet the Press” account obligingly tweets this quote from Meghan McCain without bothering to note that she’s LYING.
Actually, not amazing. Just the same old shite. https://t.co/WkEe3HqFZM

Every word of this is a lie. Biden explicitly ran and was elected on a massive investment in infrastructure and social programs, and the public favors his plans by about 20 points in every poll.
I don't know why @MeghanMcCain is ever taken seriously on anything. https://t.co/PuYuAbUQgp

I don't care that Meghan McCain didn't study politics in college or whatever – lots of pundits develop specialties later in life. But what has she written (or even said) that showed some keen insight, or deep research, into the American electorate or policy issues?
— James Surowiecki (@JamesSurowiecki) September 26, 2021
I'm confused, did any other ex-View hosts slide right on over to Meet the Press?
— Schooley (@Rschooley) September 26, 2021
Meghan McCain as a contributing journalist on Meet the Press? That alone should tell you how far the show has fallen since #TimRussert held court there…

From Fox News:
During the appearance, McCain criticized Democrats for isolating moderates in the party, most recently in the fight over President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda. “Meet the Press” later tweeted a quote from McCain’s appearance but Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin was one of many observers who accused her of lying that Biden’s agenda was unpopular.
Biden "ran and won with the help of independent centrists. … The 'Build Back Better' Agenda is the most progressive, modern agenda of all time up to $5 trillion dollars and it's not polling well. So I think I'm just confused why they're doubling down." — @MeghanMcCain

tha is false. It is polling well. Why let her come on to lie?
