Lee Meyer, a Nebraska man, found himself in a viral video when he got pulled over for an unusual passenger.

A massive bull named Howdy Doody was riding shotgun in his sedan.

This peculiar incident unfolded on Highway 275 as he headed eastbound, catching the attention of an officer from the Norfolk Police Department.

The driver had made modifications to his vehicle to accommodate the Watusi bull.

He had removed the roof and windshield on the passenger side to create sufficient space for the bull. Additionally, a guardrail was installed on the same side to keep the animal safely contained within the car.

Yahoo reported, “The passenger side door had been replaced with a metal barred guardrail that’s usually found in a cattle enclosure, photos show.”

Norfolk Police Division Captain Chad Reiman said, “The officers received a call referencing a car driving into town that had a cow in it. They thought that it was going to be a calf, something small, or something that would actually fit inside the vehicle.”

As a result, the officers initiated the traffic stop to address traffic violations arising from this extraordinary situation.

Reiman continued, “The officer wrote him some warnings. There were some citable issues with that situation. The officer chose to write him a warning and ask him to take the animal back home and leave the city.”

To add some humor to the situation, Rep. Thomas Massie said, “Maybe he just needed some help ‘steering.'”

Howdy Doody, the larger-than-life bull, is well-known for making appearances in Nebraska parades.
