New York City Mayor Eric Adams sounded a dire warning about the future of his city as it grapples with an influx of over 110,000 migrants under the Biden administration.
“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to,” he said.
“I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City,” he continued. (Poll: Is America Better Off Under Biden? VOTE)
At first, New York City Mayor Eric Adams was a hotel concierge for illegal immigrants. Now, 110,000 migrants later, Eric Adams is begging for mercy. New York City has become unrecognizable with migrants lining the sidewalks and camping outside five-star hotels.

“Destroy New York City,” Adams stated emphatically. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”
He went on to highlight the fiscal challenges the city is facing, saying, “We had a $12 billion deficit that we’re going to have to cut. Every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us.”
Adams underscored that the impact would extend to neighborhoods, adding, “It’s going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this.”
“I said it last year when we had 15,000. I’m telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew we’re about to lose. And we’re all in this together.”
Adams attributed part of the problem to Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s operation of busing migrants from the border to self-declared sanctuary jurisdictions.
However, he also noted that the federal government is relocating migrants from the border to various parts of the U.S.
Adams directly pointed fingers at Governor Abbott, stating, “What happened? It started with a madman down in Texas, decided he wanted to bus people up to New York City,” referencing the more than 13,300 migrants sent to New York City from Texas since August 2022.
Texas Governor Abbott defended his initiative known as Operation Lone Star, which he said was aimed at filling the “dangerous gaps created by the Biden administration’s refusal to secure the border.”
Abbott argued that the busing initiative helps alleviate the burden on border communities overwhelmed by the mass influx of border-crossers.
