In a Santa Barbara court, Hollywood star Kevin Costner found himself entangled in a child support dispute with his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner.
During the courtroom proceedings, Christine Baumgartner became emotional, shedding tears as she elaborated on her opulent lifestyle.
The focal point of Thursday’s court appearance was Baumgartner’s request for $175,057 per month in child support for their three children.

During her testimony, Baumgartner complained about how the family celebrated with extravagant Christmas celebrations that involved importing 40 tons of snow to a ten-acre property near their primary California residence.
Costner is contesting this request. One of Costner’s legal representatives countered these claims by accusing Baumgartner of leading an extravagant lifestyle and deeming this court proceeding “wholly unnecessary.”
Within court documents, Costner’s legal team has accused Baumgartner of receiving $20,000 from a third party described as a “boyfriend.”
Baumgartner reportedly clarified that this sum came from a mutual friend named Joshua Connor and denied any romantic involvement.

Emotions ran high in court when Baumgartner’s attorneys revealed that Costner had been providing her mother with $5,000 per month “for years,” but these payments ceased upon their separation.
She further described how the family would arrange for the rental of “all the animals from the stable in Bethlehem” for the children to enjoy, in addition to creating a forest of fir trees and toboggan runs.
Her emotional state intensified as her lawyer argued that she would struggle to find a home of equivalent value to the former vacation properties the couple had.
