Carlos Loera, a 21-year-old man, and Ashley Guzman, an 18-year-old woman, were shot and killed while sitting in their parked vehicle with their innocent 1-year-old child in the back seat.
The incident unfolded in the neighborhood of Harbor City in California.
The call for help came in as an “ambulance shooting,” prompting a response from officers of the Harbor City area. As they arrived at the scene, they found Carlos Loera and Ashley Guzman, both victims of gunshot wounds.
A young couple in Los Angeles were unexpectedly gunned down and killed in their parked car while their one-year-old child survived after being shot and injured in the back seat.

Tragically, the young father, Carlos Loera, died at the scene.
Ashley Guzman, his wife, was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, she also did not survive her injuries.
What makes this heartbreaking incident even more harrowing is the fact that their 1-year-old child, a symbol of hope and innocence, also fell victim to this senseless act of violence. Police have not disclosed the gender or name of the child.

Despite the horror of the situation, there is a glimmer of hope. The first responders acted swiftly, ensuring that the injured infant received immediate medical attention.
Transported to a local hospital, the child received the necessary care and, thankfully, was later released into the care of family members.
Authorities are still searching for the person or persons responsible for this horrible crime.
