A recent CNN/SSRS poll reveals that several Republican primary candidates could potentially defeat President Joe Biden in a 2024 general head-to-head match-up.

According to the poll, former President Donald Trump, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie would all secure victory over Biden in the race for the White House.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is tied with Biden at 47% while conservative businessman Vivek Ramaswamy would lose to the president by just 1 point. (Poll: Who Should Win the Presidency In 2024? VOTE)

Campaign spokesperson Nicole Morales commented on the poll’s findings, highlighting Tim Scott’s appeal to conservative voters: “Tim Scott is the candidate the radical Left fears the most. The more people get to know Tim, the more they are attracted to his message of hope and optimism anchored in conservatism. Tim has the message, resources, and the fight to compete anywhere and defeat Joe Biden.”

In the poll, Trump leads Biden by 1 point, while Pence, Scott, and Christie all maintain a 2-point lead over the president. Nikki Haley leads Biden by the largest margin, with 49% to 43%.

Ken Farnaso, press secretary for Nikki Haley’s campaign, expressed optimism about her chances, stating, “Nikki Haley is our best hope in taking back the White House. We only have one shot. It’s time to play to win.”

According to the RealClearPolitics average for the 2024 national Republican primary, Trump leads the crowded field by a significant margin, at nearly 40 points.

For the national Democratic primary, based on polls conducted from August 2 to August 26, President Biden maintains a strong lead with 65.8% support.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson trail with 12.8% and 6.3%, respectively.
