Joe Biden’s Disturbing Brain Lapses In Public: Try Not To Gasp

OPINION | This article contains the author's opinion.

Joe Biden once said the mainstream media has always been very “fair” to him despite his many mistakes. “Every once in a while, I make a mistake,” President Biden said in May 2022. “Like, well, once a speech.” Here’s a closer look at Biden’s biggest gaffes that shocked the nation.

Where’s Jackie?

In late September 2022, Joe Biden notoriously searched the room for Republican Rep. Jackie Walorski, who died in a car accident. “Jackie are you here? Where’s Jackie?” Biden asked, appearing to forget that she had passed away. Walorski was killed with two staffers over a month prior to Biden’s statement.

Running for Senate?

While asking voters to send him on to the White House, Democrat Joe Biden said, “I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate.” The gaffe came ahead of the critical South Carolina primary. This gaffe was seen as a sign of Biden’s declining mental acuity after being in politics for over 50 years.

Bizarre Cancer Admission

During a speech about climate change, Biden falsely claimed that he currently has cancer. The bizarre admission was “fact-checked” to explain Biden was referring to “non-melanoma skin cancers,” which were treated years earlier. The White House was unable to explain why Biden used the present tense to explain his cancer condition. At the time, Biden said, “You had to put on your windshield wipers to get, literally, the oil slick off the window.” Biden was recalling how nearby refineries soiled his childhood neighborhood in Delaware. “That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up have cancer,” he declared.

Honoring the Holocaust?

During a trip to Israel in 2022, Biden said we must “honor of the Holocaust” before correcting himself to say we must remember the “horror of the Holocaust.” At the time, he said, “Continue — which we must do every, every day — continue to bear witness, to keep alive the truth and honor of the Holocaust” – before correcting himself to say “horror of the Holocaust” instead.

In the same speech, Biden managed to badly mispronounced the name of the world famous “Yad Vashem World Holocaust Remembrance Center.” Biden told the audience, “I will once more return to the hollow ground of Yad Shav… — Vashem to honor the 6 million Jewish lives were stolen in a genocide.”

Scolds Parkland Dad

During a White House celebration of a new gun-control law, Biden yelled at a grieving father who lost his 17-year-old son in the Feb. 14, 2018, massacre at a Florida high school. “Sit down! You’ll hear what I have to say,” Biden snapped at Manuel Oliver. Three minutes later, Biden confused his centuries as he described the horrific attack that killed Oliver’s child. Biden failed to correct his mistake when he said the year was 1918. “Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida — 1918, 17 dead, 17 injured,” the president said without correcting his mistake.

Accommodate Russia?

As Joe Biden pleaded for more aid to send Ukraine, Biden mistakenly said “we’re going to accommodate” the Russian oligarchs. “I’m also sending to Congress a comprehensive package of — that will enhance our underlying effort to accommodate the Russian oligarchs and make sure we take their — take their, their ill-begotten gains,” Biden began.

“Ha, we’re going to ‘accommodate’ them,” he said. “We’re going to seize their yachts, their luxury homes, and other ill-begotten gains of Putin’s kleptocrac- — yeah…”

In perhaps his worst public brain lapse ever, Biden continued to try saying “kleptocracy,” which is a corrupt government whose leaders steal wealth and land from the public. “Kleptocracy and klep- — the guys who are the kleptocracies,” Biden said laughing at himself. “But these are bad guys,” he explained in simplified terms. The moment showed Americans that Biden appears to have difficulty reading from the teleprompter and conveying a basic message on the world stage. Leaders in Russia and China undoubtedly viewed Biden’s performance as a massive sign of weakness and unpreparedness.

What Year Is It?

Joe Biden appeared to forget what year he’s living in during a statement in January 2022. “There’s a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020,” Biden said going into the new year. “But for God’s sake, please take advantage of what is available.” Biden is apparently living two years behind the rest of us. This occurred just four days in 2022.

President Kamala?

Joe Biden has repeatedly and falsely referred to Kamala Harris as the commander-in-chief. “When President Harris and I took a virtual tour of a vaccination center in Arizona not long ago,” he stated without correcting his mistake. “One of the nurses on that, on that tour injecting people, giving vaccinations, said that each shot was like administering a dose of hope.” Biden didn’t seem to notice he’d given his job away. He repeated the mistaken again and again.

‘Articulate, Clean’ Obama

Critics say Joe Biden showed his true colors by referring to then-Senator Barack Obama as the first “mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean.” Obama was later asked about Biden’s racist remarks. At the time, Biden said, “I mean, you’ve got the first sort of mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean.” Both Obama and Biden were campaigning ahead of the 2008 primaries. “That’s a storybook, man,” Biden added. Obama later responded, “I didn’t take Sen. Biden’s comments personally. Obviously they were historically inaccurate.”

Biden Trashes U.S. Troops

In one of his lowest moments, Joe Biden called American troops “stupid bad—-s” because they refused to applaud him in 2016. “Clap for that, you stupid bad—-s,” the vice-president said. “Man, you are a dull bunch,” he complained. The unnecessary and hateful remark from Biden has raised concerns among Americans about his respect and devotion to the brave men and women of the U.S. military.
