Barstool’s Dave Portnoy created a viral sensation when he shared a video of a phone conversation with a Washington Post reporter.
Revealing the release of a “hit piece” focused on his One Bite Pizza Festival and its sponsors, the article is set to delve into the connections between advertisers and the festival.
In just one day, Portnoy’s post received an impressive 29 million views. During the call, Portnoy inquired about the emails the reporter sent to advertisers regarding the Pizzafest event. (Trending: Proof That Joe Biden Took Bribes)
A screenshot published on the Barstool website reveals, “We are planning to write about the festival and how some of the sponsors and participants have drawn criticism by seeming to associate themselves with Dave Portnoy, who has a history of misogynistic comments and other problematic behavior.”

Portnoy asserted that the Post exhibited a “wildly left-leaning publication” and told the reporter, Emily Heil, that he was willing to respond to any inquiries she had. (Trending: 22 Chilling Facts About Biden’s Impeachment)
“You know, sometimes you have to say something like this is like, you know, it’s sort of a reporting tactic,” she said during the call. “When you want someone to respond, you kind of have to indicate that there might be something negative and then you get them to engage. That’s all I was trying to do.”
“PS – I will say that maybe she isn’t awful as I first thought? Although I also sort of backed her into a corner where she had no alternative but to play ball with me. I’ll record tomorrow’s convo as well and see how it goes,” his post said.
The @washingtonpost just cancelled the 10am call. Shocker. They proposed 5pm instead. I said 10am or nothing. They refused. What could suddenly be more important than this? The article has to come out Friday. So they'd leave themselves a few hours before going to print? 🦝🦝 https://t.co/qPQ77bXLcG

Just a reminder the @washingtonpost said they wanted to talk to me at 10am today. So it should be right now. Then they cancelled.
