Democrat Indicted On Bribery Charges

Democrat Senator Robert Menendez and his wife have been charged with bribery by U.S. prosecutors.

This will undoubtedly cause further problems for Democrats who hope to maintain their slim majority in the Senate.

Menendez is accused of accepting thousands of dollars in bribes from New Jersey businessmen in exchange for using Menendez’s power and influence in politics. (Trending: Proof That Joe Biden Took Bribes)

Menendez allegedly provided protection to help enrich the businessmen and benefit the government of Egypt.

Gold bars were seized from Menendez’s home as well as envelopes stuffed with cash found inside jackets bearing Menendez’s name. (Trending: 22 Chilling Facts About Biden’s Impeachment)

They discovered more than $480,000 in cash in his home.

“Menendez, the chair of the influential U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, has been an important ally to fellow Democrat President Joe Biden as he has sought to reassert U.S. influence on the world stage as Biden rallies support for congressional aid to Ukraine and Washington looks for ways to push back against a rising China,” the report found.

“This investigation is very much ongoing,” Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for Manhattan, said at a press conference.

The businessmen, Wael Hana, Jose Uribe, and Fred Daibes, were also charged in the scheme.

“We are still reviewing the charges but based upon our initial review, they have absolutely no merit,” said a statement from a spokesperson for Hanna.
