Two Republicans Stab Party In The Back, Join Democrats In Critical Vote

Two “moderate” Republicans from New York are considering the idea of joining Democrats to force a vote on a government funding bill.

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) and Rep. Mark Molinaro (R-N.Y.) suggested they are “absolutely” open to teaming up with Democrats to force a vote on funding if more conservative Republicans “tank temporary government funding measures.”

The Democrats’ out-of-control spending has pumped trillions into the economy and caused skyrocketing inflation. The Biden administration has also been sending billions to Ukraine and other nations.

Conservative Republicans are demanding more significant spending cuts in order to pass a government funding bill.

The nation recently passed the tragic milestone of $33 trillion in crushing national debt.

The government is set to run out of funds at the end of the month.

“There’s a [continuing resolution] vote and I stand by that position. I’m not wavering on that position,” Lawler told reporters.

“And if there is not going to be a CR coming out of the House Republican caucus, then I will move forward with a discharge petition,” he said.

A majority of the House GOP is pushing for small cuts to the federal budget.

More conservative members of Congress are demanding deeper cuts. Democrats are calling conservative Republicans “extreme MAGA Republicans.”

“Extreme MAGA Republicans temporarily hold the gavels; the extreme MAGA Republicans are responsible for passing the rule,” Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said.
