Proof Democrats Are Delusional

Massachusetts Democrat Ayanna Pressley has come under fire after saying that the US-Mexico border is adequately secured despite the thousands of illegal immigrants currently crossing over.

“You think the border is secure? Or it is not secure?” CNN’s Jake Tapper asked.

“Yes, the border is secure,” Pressley responded, proving Democrats are completely delusion and out of touch. (Trending: Climate Hoax, Scientist Admits To Lying)

“And we’re in the midst of a humanitarian crisis that has been created by a broken system,” she added.

The crisis at the border has been making headlines in recent weeks, although some Democrat lawmakers don’t view it as a pressing issue.

Pressley was asked if she believed “something needs to be done” to address the “crisis at the border.”

“No doubt about it, our border is secure, and we are in the midst of a humanitarian crisis, and we have to fix a broken system,” she said.

Tapper responded, “But if you have millions of undocumented migrants coming into the country, how is the border secure?”

Without providing a direct answer, the Massachusetts Democrat simply said, “This is not a new crisis.” (Trending: The Failures of Joe Biden Are In Full Bloom)

“I’m not disagreeing with anything you’re saying, except for the idea that the border is secure,” Tapper pressed. “If you have people crossing the border, it’s just by definition not secure.”

Tapper then pointed out the danger caused by encouraging migrants to enter legally, rather than following lawful paths to entry.

He went on, saying, “It just seems like just such a refusal to acknowledge reality to say that the border is secure when we all know millions of people are crossing the border illegally every year.”

Pressley yet again avoided answering, simply saying the situation is a “consequence of a number of things”, including what she referred to as “climate refugees” and those escaping “violence and corruption.”

She then pressed that “asylum is a human right.”

“Okay, it sounds like in there you acknowledge that there are millions of people crossing the border illegally, which would mean that the border is not secure,” Tapper stated.

“Would you grant me the point that the border is not secure?”

“Jake, that is a conversation for another day,” Pressley responded. “Right now I’m squarely focused on preventing a government shutdown.”
