Donald Trump Jr. hilariously thanked The Washington Post for “the greatest correction in the history of journalism.”

“Thanks, Washington Post,” Trump Jr. wrote to Twitter.

The outlet has inaccurately reported that a crowd chanted “Let’s go Brandon” at a Trump Jr. speech last month in Georgia.

The crowd had actually chanted “F*** Joe Biden!,” according to the Post.

“Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly said a crowd broke into a “Let’s go Brandon” chant during a Donald Trump Jr. speech in Georgia,” the Post wrote.

Here’s the tweet from Trump Jr.:

“The crowd broke into a ‘F— Joe Biden!’ chant at that speech in September.”

“The error, which was inserted by an editor, has been corrected,” the outlet explained.

In October, an NBC Sports reporter interviewed Brandon Brown who had just won a NASCAR race.

In the background, the crowds could be heard chanting “F*** Joe Biden.”

Misunderstanding the crowd’s chant, the NBC reporter said, “Brandon, you also told me, as you can hear the chants from the, the crowd—let’s go Brandon.”

Since then, the phrase “Let’s go Brandon” has become a popular euphemism for the profane expression “F*** Joe Biden.”

U.S. Rep. Bill Posey used the phrase at the conclusion of a floor speech.

Newsmax White House correspondent Emerald Robinson tweeted, “Driving through Virginia this morning and I see plenty of ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ signs.”

Rep. Duncan of South Carolina also walked off the floor with a “Let’s Go Brandon” mask on.
