Bowman has denied the allegations by claiming he was confused.

Expulsion is the most serious form of disciplinary action available to the House for its own members.

Only five members have been expelled from the House in history.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) authored the resolution to remove Bowman. (Trending: Trump Makes The Biggest Promise Of His Political Career)

Bowman’s actions are under investigation by the House Administration Committee and the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP).

Speaker Kevin McCarthy said, “This is an embarrassment. You’re elected to be a member of Congress.”
