“Derrick Anderson is a Special Forces Green Beret who will be a strong conservative leader in the U.S. House,” Cotton said.

“His service to this country demonstrates clearly that he’ll represent Virginia’s 7th District well and will be a strong advocate for his home state.”

“I’m pleased to support him,” Cotton said of the combat vet.

Anderson said he felt “honored” by the backing, and said Cotton is “a strong conservative fighter” that “gets the job done.”

The Green Beret is seeking the Republican nomination for the 7th District alongside four other candidates.
