Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared that “death to America” is not merely a slogan but the country’s official policy towards the United States.

Khamenei made these remarks during an address on Iran’s Channel 1, emphasizing that the chant represents a longstanding policy that exists because of previous American actions against Iran.

“The situation between America and Iran is this: When you chant ‘Death to America!’ it is not just a slogan – it is a policy,” he stated.

“I have stated the reasons previously. For many years, from the 1940s to the 1970s – that is 30 years – the Americans did everything they could do against the Iranian nation. They hit Iran in any way they could – financially, economically, politically, scientifically, and morally.”

He also claimed that without US support, the Israeli regime would have collapsed, and he denied Iran’s involvement in anti-Semitic rallies worldwide.

“If it were not for America’s support, if it were not for the support of U.S. weapons, the corrupt and artificial Zionist regime would have been destroyed in the first week,” he claimed. “It would have collapsed. The Americans are behind this.”

This statement comes at a time when Iran, known as the leading state sponsor of terrorism, has been supporting attacks against Israel through various proxy groups.
