The Trump Administration Just Made A Shattering Blow To California Right Before His Term Is Up — Deals Major Cuts In Funding By $200 Million

President Donald Trump slashed California’s funding by $200 million, according to The Daily Caller.

California is allegedly in violation of the Weldon Act.

“Under President Trump, HHS has worked like never before to enforce laws Congress has passed to protect Americans’ religious freedom and conscience rights,” Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar said.

“California…violated federal conscience laws and refused to work with us to take corrective action, so we are now taking action to hold them to account.”

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra disregarded the Trump administration’s warning early in the year that the state was not in compliance.

Biden announced that Becerra will replace Azar as HHS secretary.

Becerra has been described as “aggressively pro-abortion.”

Republican Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton said, “Xavier Becerra spent his career attacking pro-life Americans and tried to force crisis pregnancy centers to advertise abortions.”

“He’s been a disaster in California and he is unqualified to lead HHS.”
