The House of Representatives voted to formalize an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, with Republicans unanimously supporting the resolution and Democrats opposing it.

The resolution allows House investigators to enforce subpoenas and gather evidence regarding alleged financial improprieties involving the President and his family.

The vote comes amid concerns about Joe Biden’s alleged involvement in questionable financial dealings and his son Hunter’s business activities. (Trending: Joe Biden Impeachment Formalized As Republicans Unite)

“I don’t see the evidence of it,” Democrat Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) said.

“But yes, when your own son and your own brother are clearly, at the very least unethical and at worst, doing illegal things — my goodness, of course the country pays attention to it.”

“I have a pit in my stomach about it,” a Democrat strategist said.

“This Hunter story has the legs to ruin things for Biden.”

Recent polling indicates public skepticism about the Bidens, and the investigation is expected to focus on financial transactions and potential ethical violations.
