Former Trump-allied lawyers Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro issued short apologies on X (formerly Twitter) after pleading guilty in the Georgia election interference case.

Powell apologized for her actions in Coffee County, while Chesebro apologized for his involvement in Count 15 of the indictment.

Both had been charged in alleged efforts to overturn Trump’s 2020 loss in Georgia. (Trending: Ousted Democrat Who Filmed Explicit Tape Blames Homophobia)

The apologies were deemed “underwhelming” by MSNBC anchor Katie Phang and former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann.

“I apologize for my actions in connection with the events in Coffee County,” Sidney Powell wrote.

“I apologize to the citizens of the State of Georgia and of Fulton County for my involvement in Count 15 of the indictment,” Kenneth Chesebro stated.

Weissmann posted, “To be filed under ‘THAT’S AN UNDERSTATEMENT.’”
