Biden Campaign Creates Special Task Force to Mitigate ‘Cheap Fake’ Videos

via Fox

The Biden campaign has created a special task force to address videos showing President Joe Biden’s public malfunctions.

White House aides are concerned about footage capturing Biden’s age-related issues and moments of confusion, leading to disagreements with media allies.

Videos showing Biden freezing at a fundraiser, wandering off in Europe, and appearing vacant at events have prompted efforts to counter the impact of these “cheap fakes.”

“Voters deserve accurate information to inform their choice this November, and our campaign will be vigilant in calling out these lies when we see them,” Biden campaign spokesperson Mia Ehrenberg said. “We hope media organizations and others with influential platforms follow our lead.”

The campaign aims to ensure accurate information reaches voters and urges media organizations to combat misinformation.

However, critics like Trump Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung dismiss the term “cheap fake” and highlight the authenticity of videos showing Biden’s lapses.

“The truth hurts,” Cheung said. “When the Biden campaign is confronted with that cold, hard reality, they offer ridiculous claims that anyone who clearly sees Biden acting like a brain-dead dope is part of some media-wide conspiracy.”
