GOP’s Online Donation Platform Overwhelmed After Trump Guilty Verdict

via ABC

Republicans’ online donation website WinRed was overwhelmed after a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty on all 34 counts.

WinRed reportedly shut down due to high traffic following the verdict.

The jury decision came just four days before the Republican National Convention is set to nominate Trump.

After the verdict, Republicans rallied behind Trump and encouraged donations, with some GOP sources reporting WinRed was “overwhelmed.”

Senator Marco Rubio said the verdict was a “travesty” but the good news was Americans had donated over $50 million to Trump since.

“The bad news is today the Biden leftists in New York made a mockery of our criminal justice system,” Sen. Marco Rubio wrote. “The good news is Americans have sent Trump over $50 million since this travesty and his deranged enemies just elected Trump for President again!”

A Trump ally tweeted he secured an $800k donation for Trump’s fundraising committee with ease.

“The best way to fight back right now against the sham trial is to donate to the Trump campaign,” Sen. J.D. Vance wrote.

Trump’s fundraising push is expected to continue in response to the verdict and its appeal, with senators urging Americans to donate to Trump’s campaign to fight back against the “sham trial.”
