Smart Asset’s analysis, based on the 50/30/20 budgeting rule, determined that a single working adult needs $96,886 in Georgia for comfort, while two working adults raising two children requires $212,826.
Georgia ranks 15th on the list of states with the highest required salaries for comfortable living, with Massachusetts, Hawaii, and California topping the list.
Conversely, Iowa is identified as the least expensive state to live comfortably based on income.
