Former President Donald Trump joked about the prospect of facing Vice President Kamala Harris in a potential presidential race, criticizing President Biden’s debate performance and suggesting Biden would soon exit the race, leaving Harris as his opponent.
Trump expressed confidence in confronting Harris over Biden, calling her “pathetic” and easier to beat.
“How’d I do with the debate the other night?” Trump asked.
“He’s a bad guy. He just quit, you know, he’s quitting. He’s quitting the race,” Trump said. “Yup, I got him out of the race. And that means we have Kamala.”
“I think she’s gonna be better. She’s so bad, she’s so pathetic,” he said. “She’s so [expletive] bad.”
“Could you imagine that guy dealing with Putin and the president of China, who’s a fierce person. He’s a fierce man,” Trump said.
Despite pressures for Biden to withdraw, the President and his family remain determined to stay in the race, with Hunter Biden reportedly influencing his father to continue running.
President Biden asserted his commitment to staying in the race, emphasizing his intention to compete until the end and secure victory.
“Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running…no one’s pushing me out. I’m not leaving. I’m in this race to the end and we’re going to win,” Biden said.
