President Joe Biden has announced he will not seek reelection and has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor, a decision influenced by concerns about his health, as revealed by his brother Frank Biden.
Frank expressed both pride and worry about Joe’s health, suggesting it played a significant role in the decision.
“I’m incredibly proud of my brother,” Frank said.

“Selfishly, I will have him back to enjoy whatever time we have left.”
Joe is a “genuine hero.” Frank said. “The goal remains the same, defeat Trump and continue the work that Joe has done.”
This announcement marked a departure from previous denials of health issues by the Biden family and has elicited emotional reactions from Democrats, including tears from Senator Chris Coons and CNN’s Van Jones.
“Joe Biden is grounded. He’s grounded in his faith, in his family, and in our state. Excuse me,” Coons said, tearing up.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. This was a very difficult decision.”
“It’s kind of like when your grandpa … you gotta take the keys,” Jones said. “And he’s fighting and he’s fighting you and everybody’s so frustrated. And then you finally get the keys back. Then you just cry.”
“This is somebody that you care about. This is somebody that was there for you. You wouldn’t be here without him,” Jones said.
“While it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus entirely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term,” Biden stated.
In contrast, former President Donald Trump criticized Biden, labeling him as the worst president in U.S. history and asserting that his presidency has caused significant damage to the country.
Biden “is the worst president in the history of the United States by far,” Trump said.
“There has never been a president who has done such damage to our country, from energy independence to letting in millions and millions of illegal immigrants.”
“He should never have been there in the first place,” Trump added. “He should have stayed in his basement.”
