Newsweek Hits New Low, Suggests Trump Wasn’t Really Shot

via ABC

Newsweek has faced significant backlash on social media for an article suggesting that former President Donald Trump might not have been shot during an assassination attempt, claiming he was only hit by shrapnel.

The article referenced FBI Director Christopher Wray’s comments regarding uncertainty about whether it was a bullet or shrapnel that struck Trump.

“This is really covering some ground, but @Newsweek might be the most embarrassing ‘news organization’ in the entire country. They constantly publish BS, but this is next level Trump derangement. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!” Donald Trump Jr. wrote.

Critics argued that regardless of whether it was an intact bullet or fragments, Trump was indeed shot.

Social media users have mocked Newsweek’s characterization, labeling the publication as unreliable and accusing it of downplaying a serious incident.

Who else thinks President Trump should sue the heck out of Newsweek? wrote Juanita Broaddrick.

“Wow. Newsweek has just outed itself as a radical left rag sheet. As if we didn’t know,” another X user wrote.
