Hunter Biden Gets Sentencing Date Following Conviction

via CBS

Hunter Biden, son of President Biden, is scheduled for sentencing on November 13 after being convicted on federal firearms charges.

A jury found him guilty of illegally purchasing and possessing a firearm while addicted to crack cocaine, as he lied about his drug use on a federal form.

Initially, Hunter planned to accept a plea deal that would have allowed him to avoid jail time, but it was rejected by a federal judge, leading to new charges filed by Special Counsel David Weiss.

Hunter faces up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000, although he is a first-time offender.

He has also pleaded not guilty to tax-related charges and is set to go to trial for those on September 5, just days before the presidential election.
