Executive Overseeing Trump-Kamala Debate Is A Harris Donor

via ABC

Dana Walden, a high-ranking Disney executive overseeing ABC News, has been a donor to Vice President Kamala Harris’s political campaigns.

As co-chairman of Disney Entertainment, Walden’s relationships and donations, dating back to Harris’s early political career in 2003, have raised questions about potential conflicts of interest, particularly concerning an upcoming presidential debate between Trump and Harris, which ABC News is set to host in September.

The Waldens have also hosted fundraisers for Harris and have personal ties to her, adding to the scrutiny.

ABC News defended Walden, stating that she does not participate in editorial decisions, which are handled by the network’s management and staff known for their journalistic integrity.

“ABC News has built its longstanding reputation on journalistic integrity,” ABC News stated. “All editorial decisions are in the hands of ABC News management and the seasoned journalists and producers of ABC, who hold themselves to the highest journalistic standards.”

Despite accepting the debate invitation, Harris has been criticized for avoiding formal interviews and limiting contact with reporters since President Biden endorsed her candidacy.
