Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the recent assassination attempt on former President Trump, conveying her relief over his safety and emphasizing that violence is unacceptable in the United States.
However, her past rhetoric branding Trump as a “threat to democracy” raises questions about her sincerity.
Critics argue that her comments have contributed to a culture of violence and division, suggesting she should take more accountability for her words.
“I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe. Violence has no place in America,” she said.
Ironically her campaign has been focused on attacking Trump as a “threat to democracy.”
Others mentioned that the Harris campaign has described Trump as “day 1 dictator” and “Nazi.”
“Kamala Harris and her violent rhetoric are to blame. She needs to drop out,” another user said.
Senior Editor at The Post Millennial, Andy Ngo, said, “Why would you be glad he’s ‘safe’ when you have repeatedly called him an existential threat to democracy and that he is like Hitler? Don’t you want someone like that to be killed?”
Many believe that such rhetoric undermines her position as a leader who should advocate for peace.
