Trump’s Path to Victory: Key States and Electoral Votes

Former President Donald Trump is currently projected to go into the evening of the election with 219 electoral votes, while Vice President Kamala Harris is projected to go in with 226.

Trump currently, however, has several routes to secure a win in the upcoming election.

Trump’s simplest route involves winning Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, which would bring him to 270 votes.

Alternative paths for Trump include combinations of swing states like Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, and either Michigan or Wisconsin.

Winning Georgia, North Carolina, and Arizona (plus one of Michigan or Wisconsin) would yield 272 to 277 electoral votes.

Trump might also win with Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Nevada, reaching 271 votes, or with Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin, totaling 271 votes as well.

Current polling averages suggest Trump is leading in key states, potentially granting him up to 302 electoral votes if he wins all but Wisconsin.
