Kamala Harris Open to Taxpayer-Funded Racial Reparations

Vice President Kamala Harris recently expressed her willingness to explore the possibility of taxpayer-funded racial reparations. If passed, it is a measure that could potentially incur taxpayer-funded costs in the trillions.

In a radio interview, Harris affirmed the need for further examination of the issue.

“It has to be studied. There’s no question about that,” Harris said. “And I’ve been very clear about that position.”

She noted her previous support for reparations legislation during her congressional tenure and her stance in the 2019 presidential campaign.

“My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown’s Town),” Harris’ father, Marxist economist Donald Harris, previously stated.

Harris’s comments come amid polling that has suggested an increase in support for Trump among the Black community. The question of eligibility for reparations has remained unclear, prompting calls for further research.
