Former President Donald Trump recently showed up at a McDonald’s in a Philadelphia suburb, where he took on the role of a fry cook, preparing fries and distributing meals to customers.
The political stunt was a successful trolling of Kamala Harris’ allegedly false claim of having worked at McDonald’s previously.
Harris’ claim has remained unverified despite her detailed accounts, raising questions about the vice president’s honesty.
Trump connected with average voters through a drive-thru window, aiming to communicate his relatability and love for American workers.
“I could do this all day,” Trump said. “I love McDonald’s, I love jobs, I love to see good jobs.”
“Love him or hate him, I just feel it’s really cool to see this moment in history,” local resident Caitlin Hanlon said.
“It’s a really cool moment, but I obviously support him,” she added.
“Mr. President, thank you for taking a bullet for us,” another supporter said.
“Wow, thank you, Mr. President,” the supporter’s husband said. “You made it possible for ordinary people like us to meet you.”
