On Election Night, Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov expressed concern about former President Donald Trump’s strong support among Latino voters, indicating a shift that many Democrats did not anticipate.
She noted that this change could prompt a reevaluation within the Democratic Party regarding their messaging and outreach strategies.
Notably, an NBC News exit poll revealed that Latino men supported Trump by a 10-point margin, a significant shift from the previous election where they favored Joe Biden.
“It is in Democrats’ nature to be anxious, and we are certainly at peak anxiousness,” Tarlov said. “I think the conversation that you were having in the last panel about the Latino vote is really interesting. Some of these numbers are a little bit jaw-dropping,” she added.
“That is going to cause a real reckoning within the party on how we talk about, message to, and integrate, you know, a huge part of our base, typically,” she noted.
Tarlov said, “I’m hearing more and more from people that I’m speaking to, blue wall, blue wall.”
As of the latest results, Trump is leading with 230 electoral votes compared to Kamala Harris’s 187, with forecasts giving Trump an 89% chance of victory, particularly in crucial battleground states.
